Travel Dates: Arrive Wednesday, June 24, 2026; Depart Wednesday, July 1, 2026
Please keep in mind the following in arranging flights: Choose the method you are most comfortable with in
purchasing round trip airfare for your cheerleader—your local travel agent, get your own ticket online, or use reward points/miles. The benefit of using a travel agent is that if there is a problem on the day of travel, such as a canceled flight, your travel agent will be able to help re-route your cheerleader on an alternate flight. We can recommend a travel specialist who is familiar with our camp and with hotels and travel discounts here in Hawai‘i.
1. ARRIVAL: You need to schedule your flight to arrive at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (previously known as the Honolulu International Airport) on Wednesday, June 24th between 11:30am and 5:00pm. If your child is scheduled for any other date or time, you will need to make your own arrangements for her/him to be transported to the Hilton Hawaiian Village and checked in to camp. For flights that are delayed, we will greet and pick up your child at the delayed arrival time.
2. DEPARTURE: Arrange to fly home on Wednesday, July 1st after 10:00am. We will take your child to the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport 2-3 hours before their flight departure time, assist them with checking in, and get them to the security checkpoint.
3. Within 24 hours after you book your flight, email a copy of their FLIGHT ITINERARY to contact@cheerhawaiiusa.com so that we can verify the dates and times for you. Then we will schedule your pickup with our airport greeting personnel.
4. If there are any other cheerleaders coming to camp from your school, check with them to confirm they are traveling on the same flights as your daughter/son. Sometimes going through a travel agent will help with getting students from different households on the same flights. They can usually hold a flight for 24 hours while you are communicating with the other parents, and then book all of the flights together when all parents are ready.
5. We will be sending CheerHawai‘i USA T-shirts for all participants to wear on their flights over to Hawai‘i. The shirt will be sent 3 weeks before travel. This will help them identify each other in the airport as they may be making connections to the same flights, as well as our staff to quickly find them in the airport.
6. Some airlines offer an escort service for your child to ensure that he/she gets on their connecting flights. With the escort service, which is especially helpful for minors traveling alone, CheerHawai‘i personnel are required to show their identification in order to pick them up at the airline service desk. If you are interested, ask your travel agent, or call the airline directly. There is a fee with the airlines. Please let CheerHawai‘i USA know if your child will be traveling with the escort service so we can give you the information you need.
